Transport links

Commuting from this home could not be more straight-forward. As mentioned above, property lies off the A461 Springhill between Shire Oak and Muckley Corner (closer to Muckley Corner hence the WS14 postcode).

On the side of the road where the property is positioned, the A461 continues in that direction of Lichfield. Muckley Corner also links with the A5 and therefore is a direct route west to Cannock and east to Wall Island. From here there are further links to the M6 Toll Road, A5148 for Burton & Derby and Weeford Island for Tamworth (M42) and the A38 (Birmingham). In the opposite direction the A461 leads towards Shire Oak and Walsall, and subsequently links to Brownhills, Aldridge and Pelsall.

The best train station for commuters is a 15 minute drive to Lichfield Trent Valley railway station which has split level platforms, as it is part of both the West Coast Mainline (London Euston & Liverpool) and the Cross City Line to Birmingham & Sutton Coldfield. There is a closer station on the Cross City Line at the nearby village of Shenstone.

There are bus services running between Walsall & Lichfield that pass by the property and stop at lay-by style bus stops on either side of the dual carriageway. Other stops on the route include Rushall, Aldridge, Stonnall & Shenstone.

According to the Staffordshire Schools website, the catchment secondary school for this home is The Friary High School, Lichfield which is highly regarded locally and has a current Ofsted rating of Good (2). The catchment primary school is St Peter's Primary School in the nearby village of Stonnall, just one mile away. Although we have researched this information, parents are advised to confirm catchment via the local authority.

For shops, the nearest to the property is the petrol station at Muckley Corner. At nearby Wall Island, there is a large well-known health club with excellent facilities aswell as a large hotel and three famous restaurants. The nearest town is Brownhills where there is a high street aswell as a large supermarket.
